PURPOSE:To reduce the failure factor of cause identification for a plant diagnosing device which gives an arithmetic process to a cause-result tree (CCT), by integrating the entry nodes having same request conditions as well as the same device name when the cause is identified. CONSTITUTION:The entry nodes having the same observing device and same request conditions for a diagnosing device undergo simultaneously the identification of cause. If a cause is detected among these entry nodes, the corresponding message is delivered. While a second base message is delivered after deciding a failure of identification when no cause is detected. For instance, the entry nodes Nos. 1 and 2 of left and right sub-CCTs (shown in the diagram) have the same observing device and the same request conditions. Now if fault No.1 arises, a phenomenon of V4/L is produced at a plant and the nodes Nos. 1 and 2 are identified at one time. Thus the identification succeeds for the fault No.1. Then the estimation is performed only for the node No.1, and no second base is delivered from the node No.2. Thus the failure factor is reduced for the identification of cause. |
