PURPOSE:To vary a delay time, by forming an input transducer electrode and an output transducer electrode on one surface acoustic wave substrate and the other surface acoustive wave substrate, respectively, making surface wave propagating faces of two substrates adhere closely so as to be slidable, and making a distance both the electrodes variable. CONSTITUTION:To the end part of one surface acoustic wave substrate 11, the end part of the other surface acoustic wave substrate 12 is joined, and the joining state is constituted so that both the surface acoustic wave substrates 11, 12 slide in parallel to each other and indicates a relative position change, as shown by arrows A, A'. The joined face is made to adhere closely so that a surface acoustic wave is propagated. Also, for instance, silicon oil is interposed as lubricating oil so that both the substrates slide easily. An electrode is formed on the propagating face, that is to say, one electrode 13 and the other electrode 15 are formed on the reverse side and the surface, respectively. The propagating speed is constant, therefore, a delay time is varied by changing a distance between both the electrode, by sliding. |
