Hipsometer comprising an angle indication device 2 for indicating a predetermined angular position between a holder 3 and a part 4 that is moveable in relation to the holder. The moveable part always places itself at a predetermined angular position to the perpendicular. The holder 3 and the moveable part 4 are provided with rasters so that interference patterns, so-called moir' patterns, arise when light is transmitted through the rasters. The holder 3 can be rotated in relation to the casing of the device 2 by means of a wheel 7. A predetermined angular position between the holder 3 and the moveable part 4 gives rise to an easily recognisable moir' pattern. According to the invention, there is a mirror 16 arranged to the side of and forming an angle with the angle indication device 2. In addition, there is a sighting arrangement 18, 19 fixed relative to the angle indication device 2 between this 2 and the mirror 16, whereby a viewer who is using the sight arrangement 18, 19 can see by the reflection in the mirror 16 the moir' pattern that has risen and can turn the holder 3 by means of the wheel 7 until the said easily recognisable moir' pattern appears. <IMAGE> |
