DIAPHRAGM FOR SPEAKER AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To obtain a diaphragm with light weight and high performance, by arranging core units made of a hair-pin shaped beryllium or boron single film radially to form a core member and joining a beryllium or boron skin member on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The skin member 23 is formed by setting a titanium base 11 covered with a mask member 12 in a DC ion plating device 13 with the electron beam vapor-deposition method. In the device 13, boron is ionized to produce a boron layer 14 on the base. Next, the titanium base 11 is solved chemically to produce the skin member of the boron layer. The core unit 22 forming the core member 21 is produced by inserting a core jig 16 to a titanium base 15, providing a mask member 18 at the said device 13 with the electron beam vapor-deposition method. A laminating member block 20 produced with a boron layer 19 is cut off and the base 15 is solved to obtain the boron core unit 22. The core member 21 is formed by arranging the units 22 radially. The production of the boron layer for the core units 22 is done the same as that for the skin member. The boron skin member 23 applied with an adhesives on both sides of the core member 21 is heat-pressed to obtain a flat diaphragm.
