PURPOSE:To provide titled stainless steel which has resistance to stress corrosion cracking and environmental brittle cracking owing to fatigue corrosion and has high strength by specifying component compsn. of C, N, Cr, etc. and carrying out a heat treatment for tempering under specific temp. conditions. CONSTITUTION:Titled steel is the 13 Cr stainless steel for pumps which consists of component compsn. of 0.01-0.07% C, 0.02-0.10 N, 11.5-14.0% Cr and the balance impurities, and is subjected to a heat treatment for tempering at 575- 675 deg.C, and is the material of high strength which is hardly susceptible to local corrosion damage and stress corrosion cracking damage in interstice parts and has about 70-80kg. tensil strength. In the above-mentioned component compsn., the depth of erosion is decreased by satisfying the relation C+N<=0.14%. |
