PURPOSE:To obtain an Ni-Ti alloy for precision casting with superior castability by regulating the oxygen content of an Ni-Ti alloy to a prescribed value or below. CONSTITUTION:The oxygen content of an Ni-Ti alloy contg. 45-55at% Ni and 45-55at% Ti or an Ni-Ti alloy contg. one or more among Cr, Fe, Co, Mo, V and Pd substituted for part of the contained Ni and/or Ti is regulated to <=0.08% to obtain the titled Ni-Ti alloy. This Ni-Ti alloy having the regulated oxygen content is provided with enhanced flowability without deteriorating characteristics unique to the alloy, and the alloy can be directly finished to various products of complex shape by a precision casting method. The products include a shape memory material of especially complex shape, a superelastic material, a dmaping material and a sound absorbing material. |
