The invention relates to an arrangement for securely locking a container holding valuables, for example a case 1, onto a base. The bottom of the case is provided with feet 3, 4 which are operationally coupled to an alarm device or safety device incoporated in the case, for example for staining valuable documents with dye in the event of unauthorized handling of the case. Each foot has a recess 5 which is parallel to the bottom 2 of the case and parallel to the recesses of the other feet. A fixing plate 6 is secured on the base and at one end has holders 11 which fit into corresponding feet 4 when the case is placed on the fixing plate. A locking plate 12 can be guided in grooves in flanges 9, 10 along two side edges of the fixing plate which are at right angles to the end with the holders 11. The fixing plate too has holders 13 corresponding to the recesses 5 in other feet 3 of the case. When all the holders have engaged in the feet, the locking plate is locked onto the fixing plate.
