The discharge appts. is for excess pressure in connection with a light arc fault in a building containing electrical switchgear. The appts. comprises a pressure discharge aperture in the outer wall of the building. The aperture has a pivotable hatch cover (1) which opens automatically under the effect of a specific excess pressure in the building. The hatch cover (1) has an automatically acting stop arrangement (10) which normally locks the hatch in the closed position. On the hatch or connected to it is a release unit (6) which when the specific excess pressure is present moves the stop mechanism downwards from its locked position. The stop mechanism (10) comprises at least one hook rotatably attached to the hatch and activated by a spring (11), and in its locked position grips the edge (13) of a frame (3) around the pressure discharge aperture.
