PURPOSE:To collect data in an extremely economical way, by combining an inexpensive linear IC and a microcomputer to perform digitization within the microcomputer and then making use of the digitization for control, etc. CONSTITUTION:A clock puls is supplied to the pin of a trigger terminal 2 of a linear IC55 from a microcomputer MPU through an inside counter CO. This clock pulse is converted into a trigger signal to perform the pulse width modulation PWM in response to a signal Sig. The MPU produces clock pulses through the counter CO, and the counter of the other side starts count-up with the start of production of clock pulses. Then an interruption is detected with the fall of the PWM to stop the counting action, and the count value of that time is transferred to a data register. This value equals to the value obtained by A/D conversion at that time. In such a way, the analog data is digitized and stored within the MPU. |
