PURPOSE:To obtain video with good resolution, by allowing a holding mechanism to hold a film surface to be scanned in a curved-surface shape and thus keeping the distance from a light source to the film surface nearly equal. CONSTITUTION:For color mode, light sources for the three primary colors, i.e. red R, green G, and blue B are provided and light beams from them are incident to a rotary mirror 2 through filters, half-mirrors, etc., according to the indication of a control part 6. The rotary mirror 2 is a surface mirror consisting of a polygonal body and rotated by a rotation driving part 5 to reflect the incident light to over a film surface 3' for a horizontal scan. One mirror surface of the rotary mirror forms one horizontal scanning line and on the completion of one scan, the succeeding mirror surface is synchronized to form the next scanning line from its beginning. The film surface 3' is held in a curved-surface shape by the holding mechanism 3 and any point on a scanning line is held at nearly equal distance from the light sources, and consequently a complex optical system for correcting distortion and chromatic aberrations is omitted or simplified. |
