PURPOSE:To obtain an alarm device for overflow which is free from the danger for generating electric sparks or the like, by connecting a float for detecting liquid levels and an alarm sound generator by mechanical means in a tank which stores liquid, such as gasoline, having the danger for firing and explosion to the tank buried under the ground. CONSTITUTION:When liquid is charged into a tank 4, the liquid level rises and a float 7 is lifted. The float 7 rises together with a transmitting lever 6, thereby releasing a detaining piece which prevents the clockwise rotation of a rotary disc 9. The disc 9 is rotated clockwise by the restoring force of a coil spring and a projecting part 12 forces a detention moving piece 22, that is, an impact rod 19 downward against the energizing of a spring 30. When the disc 9 rotates further and the projection 12 exceeds the position of an alternate long and two short dashes line, the projection 12 disengages from the piece 22; therefore, the rod 19 is displaced this time upward by the restoring force of the spring 30 and a chip 20 strikes against a cover 2, thereby producing a large sound (alarm sound) and announcing the danger for overflow. |
