PURPOSE:To improve a rust preventive effect and judder property by molding a clutch facing with a painted rope using metallic wire whose volume ratio of zinc wire to brass wire is 4/6 to 6/4. CONSTITUTION:A car clutch facing is formed by molding a painted rope containing fibrous material, wear-resisting powder, zinc wire, brass wire and a melamine formaldehyde resin. The volume ratio of zinc wire to brass wire of the metallic wire is 4/6 to 6/4. The volume ratio of zinc wire to brass wire is obtained by selecting the ratio of number of wires or the ratio of the diameter of the wire. Each diameter of the zinc wire and the brass wire should be about 0.05 to 0.50mm.. Regarding the favorable amount of each wire used, the zinc wire may be about 0.5 to 7wt% of the clutch facing from a viewpoint of rust preventive property, and the brass wire may be about 0.6 to 33wt% of the clutch facing from a viewpoint of judder property. |
