PURPOSE:To provide the sliding surface of a rotary slide ring with strain which facilitates the formation of a lubricant fluid film, by providing boss portions behind the sliding surface of the ring secured on a rotary shaft, to partially vary the quantity of thermal expansion caused by sliding heat on the sliding surface. CONSTITUTION:Sliding heat is generated due to the sliding contact of a rotary slide ring 6 and a stationary slide ring 12 and gradually conducted into the whole rotary ring 6. Boss portions 6d, 6d of relatively large thickness are integrally provided behind the sliding surface 17 of the rotary slide ring 6 so that the part with the boss portion and the other part with no boss portion are made slightly different from each other in the quantity of thermal expansion. Because of the difference in the axial direction, small strain or undulation is caused on the sliding surface 17 to facilitate the formation of a lubricant fluid film on the rotary slide ring 6 to improve the durability for sealing and the PV value. |
