PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of signal components of the adjacent track and the second adjacent track, and also to improve the track width accuracy, by making the face of the operating gap and the face on which a magnetic core part piece is in contacts with a packed glass unparallel. CONSTITUTION:On the face of a ferrite block 30, plural first grooves 31 are provided in parallel. The second groove 32 whose width is wider than the first groove 31 is overlapped and provided on the first groove 31. Into the groove 31, a metallic magnetic thin plate 33 is inserted. On the upper face of the open groove part of the block 30, low temperature glass 34 is placed, and is heated and melt-stuck. The block 30 is specularly polished by said face, and a gap control material for forming an operating gap is formed. The block 30 is cut off to small pieces 35, 36 and 37, and the small pieces 35, 36 are joined so that the metallic magnetic thin plates 33 conform with each other, through the gap control film, and are heated and melt-stuck. Subsequently, a bonding ferrite block 39 formed as one body is cut to prescribed width, a magnetic head core 40 is manufactured, and bend-working is applied to the slide face of a tape, by which a magnetic head 41 is obtained. |
