The machine for making display containers which are made from folded cardboard and plastics material, has a circular table which is rotated about a vertical axis to align with six working stations spaced equal distances apart around its edge. Also spaced equal distances apart around the table are six suction boxes which are extended and retracted to convey the cardboard and plastics elements between the working positions. The working stations receive the elements from storage positions, where they are removed from a stack and folding operations are carried out, followed by adhesive application and assembly, using high frequency heating for the adhesive coated parts. Pref. the adhesive used is an aq. dispersion of polyacrylic ester or a polyvinyl acetate copolymer. |
