<p>The electric lamp support assembly eliminates the risk of chafing of the electric wires at the entry point and relieves them of the weight of the light fitting. The suspension hook arrangement allows the assembly to be hung from a closed-link chain. The fitting is fabricated in two almost identical halves (1,1') which join together in a plane of symmetry. Each section has half of a continuous external thread (2) and an internal axial cavity (4,4') through which pass the electrical wire. The top of each half is finished in an octagonal face (3,3') with an integral inclined hook (6,6') from which the light fitting is suspended. The two halves are pressed together and are located and held by four pins (8') which fit into corresp. holes in the opposite section. The wires are gripped by two bars (4a') which project from the internal profile of the cylindrical cavity. The shroud of the lamp base screws over the thread (2) and holds the assembly together.</p> |
