Powder mixt. for mfg. concrete or refractory concrete - contains cement, micronised powder, de-flocculant, and aggregates or granulates

The mixt. is used with water and granulates or aggregates to make a concrete which can be cast or sprayed, moulded using vibration, and/or reinforced. The mixt. contains by wt. (1) 10-16% hydraulic binder(s); (b) 4-15% of an organic or inorganic powder with a particle size of 1-100 nm- (c) 0.005-0.3% deflocculant(s); and (d) the remainder making a total of 100% of dry concrete consists of granulates or aggregates. Binder (a) is pref. natural or synthetic cement, and/or aluminous cement rich in calcium mono- and/or di-aluminates. Filler (b) is pref. clay, kaolin, micronised-graphite, -chamotte, or -silica, or colloidal alumina. Deflocculant (c) is pref. an alkali salt, esp. a carbonate, silicate, phosphate, or polyacrylate. The mixt. only requires a relatively small amt. of water for mfg. concrete or refractory concrete with high mechanical strength.
