The coupling clutch (10) comprises a train of elements (14, 15) movable between two limit positions and operable as a function of its position, to modify the condition of the clutch. An elastic return (17) spring biasses the train into a first limit position whilst an opposing linkage (18,19) is movable through a stroke corresponding to the stroke of the train. This acts on the train to transfer the train from its first to its second limit position. The opposing linkage cooperates with an electric motor (20) on the one hand and an elastic-operating force moderation spring on the other.
