For alternating, cyclic operation of the spray devices the dishwashing machine has a circulating pump designed as a centrifugal pump, which can be driven clockwise and anticlockwise. In this arrangement, in the pressure pipe (4) of the pump, which pipe is divided by a partition wall (5) into two pressure pipe connections (6, 7) for two spray devices, a flap (8, 9, 10) is pivoted. Depending on the direction of rotation of the centrifugal pump impeller (2) and the resulting delivery flow direction the flap is either rotated so that its one blade (8) frees the one pressure pipe connection (6) and opens the other pressure pipe connection (7) with the second blade (9) forming a 90 DEG angle or, in the other rotational position, opens the pipe (7) and closes the pipe (6). The flap is here automatically reversed by the delivery flows.
