The integral sports crash helmet has in the inner wall of the lower guard band (1) an elongated chamber (2), which has bores which go through to the face of the motorcycle rider. The chamber (2) is also connected to the outside via lines, these lines opening out tangentially on both sides of the guard band (1) and in a tapering concave region (6). This region (6) is of a substantially half-conical profile. The elongated chamber (2) is preferably bounded by a wall (3) provided with bores or slits. These bores or slits permit a free flow of air from the crash helmet into the interior of the chamber (2). While the motorcycle is travelling along, the air streaming past the concave regions (6) causes a partial vacuum at these regions, as a result of which air is sucked in from the elongated chamber (2). <IMAGE>
