The deburring, i.e. the final treatment of sheet edges and other flat-material edges, is still a very complicated and costly matter. By the use of so-called cup brushes for deburring flat parts, it becomes possible to deburr both the top and bottom edge in one operation. To this day it has been a problem time after time for the person carrying out the treatment to determine the edge provided with the cutting burr. In particular in the case of mass-produced punched parts which for the most part have been located in a collecting container, it has been exceptionally difficult to work without problems using the previous deburring devices and tools. In addition, this novel brush deburring technique ensures that no additional primary burr from the deburring tool builds up after the deburring operation.
