In a device for developing photographic paper, there is a drum, which receives the photographic paper, with a cover which can be placed on a drum end. The processing liquid is provided in a storage container. For the purposes of easier handling of all necessary processing cycles in developing, it is proposed to form the bottom-side closure of the drum from the storage container and to arrange between the container interior and the drum space a valve which can be actuated by a handle.
