A normal refrigerator unit (input 100 watts) condenses the humid air on the cooling coil to form ice crystals. At normal air-humidity levels a snow or ice layer of 500-1000 grams results within 24 hours. After thawing the water - in a solid state of aggregation - a quantity of drinking water of 0.5 to 1 litre results.
