The invention relates to an apparatus for emptying containers, in which a covering holder is sealingly placed on an opened container and the container is then moved into a tipping position with the aid of a pivot angle. The liquid-tight and dustproof connection between the covering holder and the container permits dust-free and loss-free emptying, so that harmful substances can be safely removed from the containers.
