PURPOSE:To suppress the rush current at the time of changing a tap by automatically switching all taps of an autotransformer and starting a motor. CONSTITUTION:When a start pushbutton switch is closed, electromagnetic contactors 6-N, 6-1 are closed, and a voltage of 25% of full voltage is applied to a motor 1. After several seconds, the contactor 6-N is turned OFF, the contactor 6-1 is OFF, and the 6-2 is ON. At this time an autotransformer 3 operates as a reactor, thereby suppressing the rush current. After several seconds, the contactor 6-N is closed, and the voltage of 42% of the full voltage is applied to the motor 1. Thereafter, the contactors 6-3, 6-4 are similarly sequentially closed, the voltage applied to the motor 1 is sequentially increased. In this manner, the rush current at the time of changing the taps can be suppressed. |
