PURPOSE:To prevent the diffusion of floating ash to the open sea as well as promote the consolidation of landfill materials by a method in which a permeable stratum is provided in the water-shielded pond bottom in the reclamation pond, and while water is collected in the permeable stratum is always pump up from a well, such landfill materials as incineration ash, etc., are damped to the reclamation pond. CONSTITUTION:A revetment 3 is provided on the sea surface near a coal-fired power station 2 to partition it from the open sea 4, a reclamation pond 1 is provided, the revetment 3 is provided with a cut-off layer 7 of a water-proof sheet, etc., and the seabed 5 is provided with an impermeable stratum of clay, water-proof sheet, etc. Also, a permeable layer 8 of a perforated pipe, etc., is formed on the cut-off layer of the seabed 5, and a water-pumping well 9 leading to the bottom of the permeable layer 8 is provided. A water pump 13 is actuated to pump up the sea water from the well 9, and a slurry formed by mixing the sea water with flyash discharged from the power station 2 in a plant 16 is sent to a reclamation bond 1 through a transport pipe 17 and damped onto the sea surface. By this, the landfill ground 18 fomred on the seabed 5 is pressed and consolidated by the flow of water being pumped-up. |
