COPPER CHELATE COMPOUNDS

Neutral copper complexes, particularly copper salicylate complexes having the formula Cu[C6H4(OH)COO]2 gamma in which gamma is dimethyl sulphoxide or dimethylformamide, have been found to have therapeutic activity in the treatment of inflammatory diseases and copper deficiency conditions. The complexes have been found particularly suitable for the treatment of Menkes' syndrome.
