Sloping microfiche stage in a microfilm reader or viewer

The aim is to produce for a microfiche stage (4) in a microfilm reader, which stage can be displaced in two coordinate directions and slopes relative to the horizontal parallel to one direction, a device by means of which different operating loads occurring during upwards and downwards motion are at least partially compensated. For this purpose, the microfiche stage (4) is coupled to a compensation spring (21) which acts counter to the direction of the slope of the stage and approximately compensates its inclined descending force. <IMAGE>
