摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an amorphous alloy type catalyst for use in reduction reaction improved in catalytic characteristics, by mixing specified proportions of groups of elements capable of forming amorphous materials. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous alloy type catalyst for use in reduction reaction made of a composition represented by the formula: XaLc in which X is at least one of Fe, Ni, Co, Ru, Rh, Pd, Pt, Os, and Ir, a is 20-92 atomic %, L is at least one of Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, and Ti, and c is 8-80 atomic %. Or further, at least one of Mn, Cr, V, Mo, W, Y, Au, and Cu, and at least one of Si, B, P, C, Ge, As, and (a) are added to this compsn. This amorphous alloy type catalyst has an absorption power for H and it is useful for the catalyst of hydrogenation reaction of CO.
