PURPOSE:To provide a denitration reaction catalyst having high acvitity and high selectivity, by mixing P, B, or the like with elements of an iron group at a proper atomic ratio, and forming an amorphous phase having a specified volume ratio. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous alloy type denitration reaction catalyst contains >=50vol% amorphous phase composed of 2-30 atomic% at least one of P and B; and <=10 atomic% at least one of Si, C, and Ge; <=15 atomic% at least one of Pt, Pd, Ru, Rh, Re, Ir, Au, Cu, Mo, Mn, W, V, Nb, Ta, Ti, Zr, Hf, Al, and Cr; and the rest of at least of Fe, Ni, and Co. This catalyst is used in a state of foil. Use of this compsn. facilitates manufacture of the catalyst, and gives high activity and high selectivity for N2 as an NO reduction catalyst, and permits stable retention of activity. |
