The invention relates to a method for producing a cast-resin insulator having capacitive control inserts, an initial body (1) being cast whose outline surface is then provided with a conductive coating and finally has a cast-resin sleeve (2) cast on it. This achieves the object of making it possible to produce a cast-resin insulator by means of only two casting processes, which insulator has more than two capacitive inserts (4) and is mechanically and electrically resistant. To this end, the initial body (1) is cast with annular pockets (3) which engage over one another and whose boundaries are removed after the application of the conductive coating, the latter being distributed in the field-control inserts (4) which engage over one another at a distance. The latter are embedded in the cast resin of the sleeve (2) during the subsequent casting of the initial body (1), and are insulated therein. <IMAGE>
