PURPOSE:To provide a continuous dehydrator which can dehydrate cake efficiently, by the constitution wherein part of the cake discharged through a cake discharge port is recirculated so as to increase the concn. of the slurry in the supply port for raw materials. CONSTITUTION:A recirculating device is operated to convey part of the cake discharged from a cake discharge port 7 by means of a conveyor plate 19 which is on the bottom surface of an endless chain conveyor 15 and is under movement toward an upper opening end 11 and to recirculate the same from a supply port 6 for raw materials to the inside part of a dehydrator body 1. The remaining cake is pushed onto the top surface of the conveyor 15 through the clearances of a chain 16 and is discharged to the outside of the dehydrator by gravity or through a chute 13 conveyed by the plates 19 which are provided on the top surface of the conveyor 15 and are under movement toward a lower opening end 10. The cake of a desired proportion in the cake to be discharged is conveyed and recirculated by controlling the number of revolutions of a driving device 20, controlling the pitches of the plates 19, etc. whereby the adequate concn. of the slurry in the supply port 6 for the purpose of accomplishing efficient dehydration is obtained. |
