EXHAUST TUBE SEALING DEVICE FOR CATHODE RAY TUBE

摘要

PURPOSE:To protect the sealing section between a glass bulb and a stem glass section from crack by heating in the exhausting process of a cathode ray tube while to shorten the time of the exhausting process thus to improve the work efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant heat-shield 24 is provided at the cathode ray tube support 13 of an exhaust tube sealing device 12 such that when a glass bulb 19 is set on said device 12 of a glass bulb 19, it will cover the outercircumference of the seal section 23 between the glass bulb 19 and the stem glass 21. When providing the heat-shield 24 on said device 12, the temperature difference between the inner and outer faces of the sealing section 23 is reduced resulting in the prevention of crack on the sealing section 23 during exhaust.
