PURPOSE:To form an image by bringing a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) resin layer on a photosensitive layer after exposure into contact with an aqueous soln. of an inorg. salt having coagulating power to the water soluble PVA resin to diffuse and remove the PVA resin in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble PVA resin layer (A) and a photosensitive layer (B) are laminated and tightly superposed on a substrate so that the layer B contacts the subtrate, and the layer B is exposed through the layer A. The layer A is then brought into contact with an aqueous soln. of an inorg. salt having coagulating power to the water soluble PVA resin to disperse and remove the PVA resin, and the layer B is developed. The preferred water soluble PVA resin has 500-2,000 average degree of polymn. and 80-99mol% degree of saponification. Sodium sulfate, zinc sulfate, ammonium nitrate, calcium chloride, borate or the like is used as the inorg. salt having coagulating power. |
