PURPOSE:To decrease the capacity of a musical tone data discriminating area, by writing discriminating codes corresponding to types of musical tone data to be changed in a storage section when the musical tone data is changed. CONSTITUTION:A CPU2 checks the depressing state of each key of a keyboard 1 based on an output of a key switch every time a sampling pulse phi is applied and checks the musical tone data inputted from the keyboard 5. The checked result and the depressing state of each key when the sampling pulse phi is applied and the musical tone data are compared, and if a change (event) is produced, an event block 13 is formed and written in a storage device. The forming of the event block 13 and the writing to the storage device 11 are done at each generation of the event. |
