PURPOSE:To prevent optical communication from being broken completely by forming a reflective material such as aluminum on the surface of an optical fiber on the internal surface of an optical communication line. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of the optical fiber 1 made of a quartz material 1, the aluminum reflective film 2 is formed and a surface protective film 3 is further formed thereupon to constitute the optical communication line. To form the reflective film 2 on the surface of the optical fiber 1, aluminum foil is vapor- deposited on or stuck to the surface of the optical fiber 1. Consequently, even if the optical fiber is broken, the reflecting film reflects light and optical communication is prevented from being broken completely although the quantity of light deteriorates. |
