PURPOSE:To process the information including back tracking at a high speed, by constituting the titled device of a function calling history holding stack, a program storage and a register which stores the present calculation state. CONSTITUTION:A controller 1 has two internal states, i.e., an input mode and an execution mode. When the controller 1 is set in the input mode, a register 2 and a stack 3 are initialized. Then the controller 1 is set in the execution mode at a time point when it reads in an input node. In this execution mode, the mode is changed to an input mode in accordance with the storage state within the controller 1 and the signal output state of the shift register 2. When the controller 1 set in an execution mode stores a K-bit symbol, these K bits are delivered to a storage device 4 via a signal line 14. Thus two types of operations are performed by the contents of an output signal 41 fed from the device 4. |
