PURPOSE:To thin the transformer more, and to reduce leakage flux by constituting a magnetic circuit by using a frame-shaped core and a U-shaped core and each winding primary winding and secondary winding onto both magnetic legs of the U-shaped core. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic circuit 9 as the transformer is formed in such a manner that hoop materials made of an electromagnetic steel plate are wound on the opposite surfaces of the frame-shaped cores 6, 7, on which a hoop material consisting of an electromagnetic steel plate, such as a silicon steel plate, an amorphous magnetic alloy plate, an iron-nickel alloy plate, etc. is wound or which is constituted by a ferrite core, and these cores are divided into two or the U-shaped cores 8 composed of ferrite are arranged. Primary winding 11 and second winding 12 are each wound onto both magnetic legs of the U-shaped cores 8 through coil bobbins 10. The winding thickness (b') of primary winding 11 and secondary winding 12 and the thickness (f) of the frame-shaped cores 6, 7 are approximately the same, the winding thickness (b') of the primary winding 11 and the secondary winding 12 is made approximately half as large as that (b) of the conventional coils, and the transformer is thinned. |
