PURPOSE:To indicate the loading of an air filter to a user by an arrangement wherein a movable body is moved by the action of the pressure which lowers by the loading of the air filter and light is transmitted from the light incoming side of an optical fibre to the light display side to radiate the display unit. CONSTITUTION:An indoor unit 1 of an air conditioner is formed with an air inlet port 2 and comprises an air filter 5, a heat exchanger 6 and a fan 7 mounted in turn on the downstream side thereof. A wind tunnel 10 located on the suction side is provided with a pressure detector means 12. The pressure detector means 12 is comprised of a movable body 15 arranged to move inwardly within a cylinder 13 against the force of a spring 14 when the pressure in the wind tunnel 10 drops below a predetermined value. Therefore, in the case where the air filter 5 got loaded the pressure in the wind turnnel 10 on the suction side drops below the predetermined value with the result that the movable body 15 moves towards the wind tunnel 10. Consequently, light is transmitted from an optical fibre 19 on the light incoming side to an optical fibre 20 on the display side so that one end 20a of the fibre 20 emits light thereby indicating loading of the filter. |
