PURPOSE:To arrange easily the main bodies of thermometers in the same direction by judging the direction of a rod-shaped thermometer by means of a transmission type light sensor. CONSTITUTION:When the main body of a thermometer 1 is carried to a point A, sensing beams from a first light sensor 5 and a second light sensor 6 are directed to the main body. Those directed sensing beams pass through and are refracted by the main body of the thermometer 1 and incident on light receivers 5R and 6R. If the reflecting face of the thermometer 1 is not located at its bottom, the sensing beams from light sensors 5 and 6 are reflected by the reflecting face and do not reach the light receivers 5R and 6R. If there is no sensing signal to the light receivers 5R and 6R, the miain body of the thermometer 1 is rotated to right or left by 120 deg. and thereby the main bodies of thermometers 1 can be arranged in the same direction. |
