PURPOSE:To make a superior mixing of gas and air and improve an efficiency of combustion by a method wherein an air flow passage in a combustion cylinder is divided into two outside and inside portions of the gas supplying manifold, a pressure resisting plate is arranged near an outlet of each of the air flow passages so as to generate a turbulent flow. CONSTITUTION:When an air is fed from an air feeding pipe 12 into a cylinder 11 under an operation of the blower, the air passes through the first air flow passage 17 between the combustion cylinder 13 and an outer circumferential wall member 15a of the manifold 15 and metered by the pressure resisting plate 18 so as to generate a turbulent flow downstream thereof. The air passes through a secondary air flow passage 19 between the inner circumferential member 15b of the manifold 15 and the gas supplying pipe 23 in the pilot burner 22, is metered by an auxiliary pressure reducing plate 20 so as to generate a turbulent flow. A superior mixing of air and gas flowed from each of the holes 15a..., 15b... is performed under these turbulent flows and further its mixing is made superior under the action of the flow changing plate 21. The mixture is ignited and burnt by the pilot burner 22 which is burned in advance by an ignition rod 25. |
