PURPOSE:To permit an automatic fire extinguishing mechanism of an oil lamp and the like to be readily applicable in a small combustion device, by arranging such that a fire extinguishing device may be pushed upwardly by a spring and attractiedly held by a magnet, thereby extingushing a fire when a combustion equipment is inclined. CONSTITUTION:When embodied in a candle type heating device A, a firing section 2 to be received by an upper part of container 1 housing a liquid fuel therein comprises a cover plate 3, a fire extingushing device 4, a spring resilently supporting the device 4, a wick 8 and a supporting base 6. When the heating device A is inclined, the spring 5 is allowed to extend for pushing the device 4 upwardly by arranging such that the device 4 loosely received by a supporting tube 6a of supporting device 6 to be freely vertically movable does not impose its weight on the spring 5. This arrangement can allow the device 4 to be attractedly held by an annular magnet 10 at a disc portion 4a thereof, the magnet 10 being mounted to a reverse side of cover plate 3, thereby wrapping the wick 8 projected from a top end of supporting tube 6a by means of a cylindrical body 4b for extinguishing a fire. |
