In a cash payment system, a cash register (I), which can be used at a bank counter, is electrically connected to a money dispenser for paying out the money in the form of banknotes, coins or the like. The cash register (I) can also be used when the amount of money to be paid out is to be output wholly or partially in coins of particular nominal values. In the cash register, the transaction process is subjected to mixed processing in such a manner that - taking into consideration any specification for desired nominal money values in corresponding quantities which may have been entered - the number of banknotes to be output assumes a minimum. <IMAGE> |
