PURPOSE:To obtain inexpensive and simple constitution by recording one track of pilot signals by changing the >=2 frequencies thereof, and recording the pilot signals of the adjacent pilot signals in such a way that the frequencies differing from each other array. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic heads 7 and 8 are mounted and fixed on a rotary drum 6 so as to face each other at 180 deg.. A magnetic tape 9 is wound around the side surface on the outside circumference of the drum 6 in contact therewith over an about 225 deg. angle range by means of guide poles 10, 11. The information signal separate from the main information signal is recorded in the winding angle range A of a magnetic tape 9 between the straight line IV-IV running the center O of revolution of the drum 6 and the pole 11, and the pole 10, and the main information signal is recorded in the 180 deg. angle range of the line IV-IV. Further, the pilot signals are recorded in the entire winding angle range from the poles 10 to 11. |
