PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption through a simple circuit, by composing an inverter for sensing of CMOSs, and connecting an MOS which is turned off by a stand-by signal to the inverter in series. CONSTITUTION:A PMOSQ12 and an NMOSQ13 are connected mutually between sources and drains to constitute the inverter and the gates are connected to bit lines of a memory, and the gates are connected at the bitline of memories. To this inverter, the PMOSQ11 which is turned off in stand-by mode is connected in series. A PMOSQ16 and an NMOSQ17 form an inverter for amplification; the gates of both MOSs are connected to the connection point N11 between the source and drain of the Q12 and Q13 and a sense output signal is obtained at the connection point N12 between the source and drain of the Q16 and Q17. Consequently, the simple circuit prevents an unnecessary window current from flowing the sense circuit to reduce the power consumption. |
