PURPOSE:To obtain reinforcing plates of magnetic cores which permit checking of the depth sizes of gaps by forming a transparent material in the groove of the reinforcing plate in the part adjacent to a magnetic gap. CONSTITUTION:Half blocks 6 and 7 which are the blank materials for reinforcing plates are formed of a material such as nonmagnetic ferrite or barium titanate. On the other hand, a groove 8 is formed longitudinally in the central part on the block 7 side. Glass is stuck by sputtering or the like over the entire surface of the joint surfaces of the blocks 6, 7 including the bottom surface of the groove 8, whereafter a transparent member 9 as a reinfocring member consisting of glass or the like is set in the central part of the groove 8 along the axial line direction, and the assembly is heated in a heating furnace to melt the sputtered glass, thereby joining and fixing the assembly to one body. The assembly is sliced in the direction of broken lines A, and is further bisected laterally at the cutting plane B running the center in the thickness direction of the member 9, whereby reinforcing plates 10, 10 are formed. If a magnetic core is put between the plates 10, 10, the magnetic head core is completed. |
