PURPOSE:To increase the angle of a visual field and to reduce color variation, by forming a noncircularly-sectioned lenticular lens on the projection side of a medium so that a B value is >25 deg. and the quantity of transmitted light decreases according to an increase in the angle of the visual field. CONSTITUTION:The angletheta1 of incidence to a lens surface 2 is the angletheta of emission from a nonlens surface 3, i.e. the angle of the visual field. The index of refraction of the medium 1 is denoted as (n) and the angletheta of the visual field is specified to find the inclinationtheta1 of a fine part AA'. The tramsnissivity of the lens 2 and that of the nonlens surface 3 are calculated and the total transmissivity of the both is calculated to express the length of the part AA' by the transmissivity and quantity of light while a decrease rate of a distribution is regarded as a constant. Determined parts are concatenated and the AA' is held infinitely small to a continuous curve corresponding to the lenticular lens, thus setting the shape of the lenticular lens on a screen. |
