PURPOSE:To charge, convey and deliver steel materials smoothly by erecting arc-shaped skids in the bottom of a cooling tank, providing transfer means which are provided with placing parts for the steel materials on the circumferences thereof and supplying and delivering the steel materials in an inclined state. CONSTITUTION:Steel materials 2 such as round bars roll along the downward slope of a supply table 28 for steel materials, ride on placing parts 24 for steel materials under intermittent rotation. When transfer means 25, 26 rotate, the materials 2 are placed on the arc parts of the stationary skids 22, 23 erected in the bottom of a cooling tank 21, and are conveyed in the cooling liquid. The steel materials 2 arriving at a receiving table 30 for steel materials on the delivery side are delivered by gravity because the preceding end part 30a of the table 30 is located below the center 32a of the driving shaft 32 of the means 25, 26. The delivered steel materials are conveyed to the next stage with discharge rolls 35. |
