PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which enables the reduction in the sizes of lance pipes and its driving devices by reinforcing the weight supporting parts, where the extension parts of the cylindrical lance pipes are partitioned and provided at every prescribed interval by partition wall plates, by means of reinforcing frames so as to provide sufficient strength. CONSTITUTION:Extension parts 7 are partitioned in the axial line direction by means of partition wall plates 20a, 20b... to form weight supporting parts 21a, 21b... and wire guiding parts 22a, 22b... alternately in a measuring device for the level of raw materials wherein the lance pipes 6 mounted on a traveling carriage 5 moving on traveling rails 4 and made freely movable forward and backward in a blast furnace 2 are constituted of long-sized cylindrical bodies having a hollow circular section and plural measuring wires 10 bound with weights 9 at the preceding ends are suspended from the extension parts 7 of said lance pipes. Reinforcing frames 23 having an approximately H shaped section are provided in the parts 21a... and pulleys 24a... for guiding the measuring wires are disposed in the upper parts thereof.
