PURPOSE:To prevent the failure of color lapping in a multi-color printing by a method in which the melting temperatures of each heat-sensitive transferrable ink layer are stepwise differentiated according to the order of printing. CONSTITUTION:In a recording medium 10, heat-sensitive transferrable ink layers 2Y, 2M, and 2C of yellow, Magenta, and cyanine are arranged in a color repeating unit along the lengthwise direction of a base material 1 on the surface of the base material 1. The heat-sensitive transferrable ink layers of yellow, Magenta, and cyanine are constituted such that their melting temperatures are stepwise lowered or raised according to the order of printing. When these ink layers of three colors are stepwise lowered in melting temperature, the ink layer previously printed is already solidified and therefore, the peeling of the ink layer from recording paper does not occur and also the bleeding of colors does not occur. Also, when the melting temperatures of them are stepwisely raised, the ink layers are mixed with each other in completely melted state to give clear-cut pictures. |
